chapter seven: a clitorocentric manifesto

...So how do we express in ordinary ways, feelings about love, relationship, desire and sex outside stereotypes? To do this people need to come from a framework outside the traditional 'he/she said' rationale. The energy of orgasm propelled us towards the idea of social transformation and wholeness. By using the clitical and clitorocentric position and the concept of the mutual orgasm we, and our work, have sought to shed the cloak of tradition for a more truly metamorphic approach. This metamorphosis means attending to the inner voice of passion and partaking in the discourse of our society, using principled thought requiring dialogue within ourselves and with others to fill the gaps and negotiate decisions for the common good. We seek a needs-based, community-orientated forum, where passion, lust, desire, love and trust could be honoured through our theory of mutual orgasm.

When coming from a platform of negotiating alliance in a world of diversity, backlash has always reared its head. (We acknowledge the ironic nature of the pun.) 'Others' continue to be marginalised and trapped within the dominant culture, their spirit reeled in and kept in check by the gender gatekeepers. Disputes fuelled by conflict and abuse between women and men continue gender warfare and its stereotypical, consumer-driven imaging and thinking. Our exploration, coming from within the culture of negativity, conflict and alienation, provided no real answers for promoting wholeness. By taking the battle into a new arena of the clitorocentric we found a voice and place more easily able to formalize a platform of respect for the oppressed and marginalised.

The clitorocentric paradigm is, in substance and form, one vision of the new times ahead. The orgasmic energy that drives the vision is within us all. (Here we acknowledge the prophetic and pioneering work of Wilhelm Reich.) There is potential for healthy relationships minus distress and violence in a community that accepts and respects diversity, if we work at it through negotiatory means. By replacing the phallocentric paradigm, which is divisive, with the clitorocentric paradigm, which is inclusive of difference and open to honest sexual communication, we can move toward a society assured of peaceful existence. Membership in this kind of social community will allow people to re-emerge whole, and liberated from the shackles of patriarchal slavery. The mutual orgasm as a metaphor for alliance draws on the assistant energy for settling matters through negotiation.

The essential qualities of the clitorocentric attitude involve accepting and respecting all qualities of humanness in their own right. Respect, voice, platform can replace the isolation and alienation of the old times. New language, roles, and positions can offer all people the same privilege of principle voice. The clitorocentric paradigm encompasses spirituality that is both personal and connected to global welfare. Orgasmic energy as the spiritual and divine mediator is the electricity that can change the current thinking about fairness, love, negotiation and acceptance. We all carry the spark of this orgasmic energy within us and it can be used to ignite the passion for transformation rather than allowing the patriarchy to douse desire for alliances in the traditional sense. Think of the clitorocentric as a spiral dance, its energy moving from within to without, seeking alliance, trust, and well being on its journey...
